Hi, I've noticed that NTL have physically disconnected the cable on the side of my house (without my permission). Could anyone please reccommend how to reconnect please?

I dont think you will receive any advice on theft of service. From other posts I see you were looking for your RTE channels. Any electrical shop can supply you with the attena required to receive them. You plug it directly into the back of your TV.

They do not need your permission. It's their connection/service/equipment and you will find they have a legal right of access to exterior of your property (implied even if no contract if the cable is installed more than a certain time.). Way leave is also usually granted in perpetuity if you or someone previous in the property ever subscribed to NTL/Chorus/UPC.

It's a criminal offence to reconnect it yourself. About up to €6000 and up to 6 mths prison. It's criminal "theft of service".

They can also sue (civil case) for copyright infringement which can net over €180K as there is no limit.

You nearly got an "infraction". Any further post asking for this kind of "help" has to get an Infraction or Ban.
