    Hi,

Was quoted 1200 for four mondeo ST220 alloys with tyres from a main Dealer.

Anyone know where I can get these cheaper?

    These are the type:

    Cheers,

that sounds like a good price if they are original with decent tyres

Doesn't sound steep at all. Allowing 100 for the tyre that's only 200 each for the alloys themselves.

Not a bad price at all for originals

and you won't get 18s for €100 each, even crappy ones.

Have decided to shelve the ST220 alloy idea. Saw these lovely replica Focus ST wheels up north, only problem is the offset is et48 on them and maximum on my mondeo is 45.

Does this mean they'll stand proud of the wheel arches? Can anything be done to correct if it's a higher offset.

They seem to look well on the mondeo.

    get the genuine st wheels

These work out at about 570 with tyres.

I'm pretty sure if I got the genuine article I'd be looking at 1200 here or 900 maybe up north??

Not worth it if I can correct this slight offset problem

Reckon up in the north would be your best bet as there is loads of the STs up there.
By the way seen a beautiful one of those today like the one in the picture in Glassneven:)

I think they dont suit the mondeo at all ... a mondeo is subtle , those alloys are not .

Get the Orig wheels from the dealer.
The tyres alone are about €180/200 each from a local tyre place.
The Focus ST wheels above belong on the focus

Sorry V, have to agree with the general public here. Get the original wheels. As Mick said the Focus ST wheels belong on a Focus and the Mondeo ST wheels belong on a Mondeo.
I nearly bought an ST (TDCI) Mondeo 2 years ago but the VRT put me off at the time. I regret it now. There are 2 ST's by me and I see one of them every day. The wheels are the best looking alloys around in my opinion and I think it really makes that ST Mondeo look good and stand out (in a good way) to the Joe Blogs who knows nothing about cars. They look really cool in movement and I think really suit the car.
The other wheels are cheaper for a reason, as stated above, and are not made for your car. Who knows what else would be wrong or what else could go wrong with your tires using the wrong alloys. - You could loose money in the long run.
    My 2 c.
