What sort of colour vision tests have people had to do during eye examinations or medicals? I've had to do the ishihara test a few times, but I've never been offered the D-15 Farnsworth test!

What sort of tests have ye boardsies had to do?

Hi, I know this technically isnt answering the question you asked but just some information on the colour vision test.
The Ishihara test is a good screening test. But that's what it is used for to determine if someone has a colour vision defect or not.
The D15 is a good test for classifing the defect and finding the severity.
As a result unless a defect has been found in the Ishihara you are unlikely to have been offered the D15

Well I'm applying for a job that screens and checks severity.

It's the City University (2nd edition I think) Colour Vision test. Anyone have any links to the actual test? Or failing that, access to Pubmed?

Just to complete this doomed thread :pac: Had someone check me out, who in turn had a specialist look over the results.

Did the Ishihara, following by the City University Colour Vision Test (3rd Ed) altough all the CU tests use the same colours as the D-15 series.

Got 9/10 in the CUCVT. But failed two-thirds of the plates in the ishihara. The former is the important one, so there shouldn't be a problem for any job that allows different severities.
