NTL Digital problems

Does anyone else who has NTL digital have problems with their remote control?
    • When I change channels on mine sometime with some channels the subtitles automatically turn on which means I have to manually turn them off.
    • When I pause a channel and am watching it "delayed", and pause or fast forward ads sometime the TV just flicks over the channel. Then if I try to flick back I've lost the "delayed" coverage.
    • Sometimes the remote doesn't work properly and sometimes the console will just continually change channel.

Does anybody else have similar problems? I just thought maybe all the consoles have these problems. Any recommendations on what I should do?

You can't change channel fwd and back sensibly if using "paused" live TV. It's recording and playing simultaneously. Inherently you lose the time buffer. This applies to all PVRs and Terrestrial / Satellite too.

The other two issues are bugs/faults. Complain to UPC.

I can answer the first one for you. If you go into Main Menu, then Settings, then Preference Settings and set Subtitle Language to Off, it should stop the subtitles appearing.
