Chasing the Lions in South Africa

HECTOR Ó HEOCHAGÁIN and Risteárd Cooper are chasing the Lions again as they head for South Africa to bring their unique insight into the upcoming British and Irish Lions rugby tour. Following the success of Chasing the Lions in 2005 and Chasing the Blues (2007), the dynamic duo will bring, exclusively to members, daily on-line broadcasts from South Africa with all the latest breaking stories, interviews and rugby coverage.

The price to join them online is a one-off subscription of €25 and those interested should log on to www.chasethelions.com. Chase The Lions TV will complement the traditional game coverage, but provide an insight into what is happening on the ground in South Africa.

Using their mobile studio, “The Lion Chaser”, Hector and Risteárd will share the fans’ perspective, reveal how the players are managing and also profile the opposition, what makes them the world champions and what are the most eye-catching match-ups. Also exclusive to chasethelions.com will be the duo’s sketches and comic creations.

I'd rather they didn't. Will you pay €25 for daily updates from Hector about rugby? I think this might be slightly mis-timed considering the tightening belts.

That Hector fella just isn't funny. Actually he's an embarrassment with all that blarney bullsh he comes out with ("ah ye're from Oirland, are ye? Give us a hug den. Graysh to be Oirish, isnt ish?").

    I like Risteard.

Hector's quite a nice bloke actually. I met him once.

That's about all I can offer in his defence. :pac:

Sad. Hector's time is up, he's had his 15 minutes of fame, his walking paddywhackery style of comedy should be buried with his bright red hair. And that other guy annoys me too.... since when were (bad) impressions funny again?

    .

So basically it's them taking pictures of local newspapers which have pictures of the matches because yet again they have no rights to film the actual match.

That €25 could buy me a drink per test. With change:)

It is quite steep. I would buy the DVD though.

It was craptastic last time around hence the amazement that:

    a) They bothered their arse doing it again.

    b) On top of selling you a dvd they now think they will garner €25 subscription for their daily insights.

I'd rather a non comedic dvd fronted by someone like Hickie.

Everyone has different opinions. I happen to have liked it the last time. Again, its just a show. Its not like they are going to force you to pay. Do you complain about every new show, movie, song you dont particularly like?

This will be the only Irish "documentary" made of the lions tour, they will get some access to at least Irish players I would rather someone else did. It's not like complaining about a show or movie or song, there is no Oasis to this Blur to choose.

I don't want them to chase the lions or do any more bloody chasing. They are a curse, Lions 05, the Nightmare before Christmas in 2007 better known as Ireland RWC. Leave it lads for the love of God. I do find Risteards voices quite funny though:o

I was quite entertained by the last outing. I'll give this a lash too. Some of us aren't as high brow in our light entertainment tastes :D

I thought the last one was funny enough. Not as good as the first one though. I'm not going to subsribe to it, but if they come out with a DVD i reckon i'd probably get it.
