    Damn!...it's got it's own Wiki page :(

Tis a rather interesting read as well, albeit quite scary when you see some of the good shows that fell into it's trap http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_night_death_slot

Trekkies might also learn something...... :(

A lot of the shows listed on that page were on their last legs. JAG, Get Smart, etc. There is also a long line of extremely popular shows which have became massive hits. Miami Vice and The X-Files being the most iconic.

You could pick pretty much any night and find a long history of shows which did terrible on thsoe nights and was pulled. A lot of the legend which has grown around the Friday night is simply down to so many high prolific shows being moved to that night as their numbers dwindled.

I was surprised at Lois & Clarks numbers from season 1/2...and the massive drop from 3/4...but i understand it, first two seasons were the best. The screen chemistry of Cain/Hatcher was great, but once they hooked up proper it killed the show.

Didn't the season 4 finale have them having a baby and that was it?

The first 2 seasons were massive. I have'nt seen the show in years but I did like it when it was aired but then again I would have been about 10. It's one of those shows that I'm afraid to revisit on DVD due to my memories of the show being so tinged with nostalgia.

I think we all understand i was refering to the US, which (let's face it) most of the posts/comments are about. It's not really an issue over here.

TV3 and LivingTV have been doing repeats...but i don't think the show holds up today.

It sounds fair enough to me, looking through it all the good shows were moved after a pretty decent run and were all coming to an end anyway really
