    Contact another dealer!
In this day and age you would think that they want to earn a few quid!

It's actually remarkably hard to get a manual for a VW or Audi. The dealer should be able to request one for you from the VW parts dept., but often they take weeks to arrive and I'm not sure how much they cost.

It's only hard if the parts man doesn't know where to look for the part number. The reason for this is that the part number for the manual is not listed on the standard parts catalog.

As kbannon said, try another dealer.

I find that, when I order replacement manuals for Audis, it often takes weeks for them to arrive and sometimes I receive the wrong manual set despite supplying the chassis number for the car in question.

Are car manuals not available on the internet these days? I mean to download.

Not generally but they should be. It would simplify things considerably for a lot of people who buy used cars.

    +1

I can download a manual for my camera or for software I'm looking to buy, but I can't download a manual for my car.
I can't even get brochures on PDF - if I need to email a brochure to a customer, I often have to send a US or Australian version of it.

It does seem silly that it can't be done. I myself only downloaded my mobile phone book the other day.

Maybe we'll see it happen eventually!

Slightly OT but why don't you scan a brochure and print it to PDF using CutePDF or similar. That way you only need to scan a brochure once and you can save it as PDF to send to potential customers. With the way things are at the moment you gotta follow up every lead as quickly as possible to get the sale.

Just get one of these, as well as the French manual
