Which oil ETF?

Hi I am interested in investing in an ETF that tracks the price of oil. Is anybody familiar with these? Are they all subject to backwardisation and contango? If you invest long term do these things matter? thanks!

seeking alpha is a good website to get some reasonable opinions on the subject.

if you stay away from the leveraged ones then they will do a reasonable job. I'd be careful of buy an hold for the next couple of years, its a traders market.
