What is ERROR 2 ?

Hello there,

I hope you can shed some light for me as to what is going on. I have internet connection say for example 6 mins and then for 4 mins it goes down and I get this

ERROR 2 ( net.err_failed) unknown error

and above that it mentions that the webpage at null may have been moved or something, cant recall all of what it said

This happens even though I am connected to the internet and still connected to my isp. I have contacted them over this but they told me that it is something to do with my computer not them.

So what is going on? What is ERROR 2? How do I fix it?

Many thanks for your reply Paddy but it is not totally a Google Chrome issue. I have tried to browse using firefox, opera and explorer but have been unable to access any pages. I get different things coming up like...connection interrupted...cannot connect to server...no data ...etc.. I may have connection for a few minutes then it is gone again and the amount of up and down time varies.

My isp told me that it has nothing to do with them as I am connected to the internet according to them.

I am really puzzled as to whats the cause of it.
