2 Years today. I'd say that pic freaked her parents out a bit.

Are they still going on about this? Heard on the news that they are going over to the US to have a bit of a look there.
Give it a rest, your going to Vegas, New York, or Miami or wherever. Its called a holiday, not a rescue mission.

It's their own fault she was kidnapped anyway. If anything they should be held accountable for neglect

Theres more chance of finding Elvis alive in fairness

    +1.
I've always hated the way they've portrayed themselves in the media.

I think it's ridiculous that they escaped punishment (*and a  in advance to anyone who comes back with "oh but losing their daughter is punishment enough") but there's no way they'll be charged with anything after this long.

Tbh I'm just sick of hearing about this whole case. Yes it's terrible that she went missing but she's not the first child to disappear and she won't be the last. I'm sure there are other parents out there (that are missing children) who (a) can't afford to whore themselves out the media like the McCanns and (b)didn't lose their kid due to their own neglectful ****ty parenting. It must be painful for them to see the media circus surrounding the McCanns and all the help/donations they've received.

If it was a couple from Tallaght they'd be done for it. /tired-argument

    Still stands though.

If the people throwing money at their 'cause' were serious about protecting kids, they'd make an example of them.

Are they still going on about this. I felt so sorry for them at first but not anymore. I'm sure kids all over the world go missing every day. What's so special about them to get world coverage and what not? They are doctors that couldn't pay for a babysitter in a foreign country. I think they were stupid for leaving the kids alone. I can understand leaving them for about 5mins while you popped across the road to the neighbours to borrow something but they went out. No excuse, really.

And i still think it was their fault. It was probably them that accidently killed her. They were doctors. Smart people that would probably be fairly good at hiding evidence and making excuses. And to blame it on an abductor.

I still think Mr.Lizard's idea of what she now looks like is the best.

Have to agree with you. Just because they are well educated people they are let away scot free (excuse the pun, the father is scottish)! They should not have left their kids on their own anywhere never mind a foreign country. Surely an abductor would have taken the twins as they were younger and 2 for the price of 1, no??

Apparently, it's okay to neglect your kids if you're medical professionals like the McCanns.
Maybe i'm being cynical, paranoid even, but i'm pretty sure if they were unemployed, 'chav' types from from some sink estate, then they'd have been vilified eternally.

um, they're both rich doctors...that's all there is too it. I can't blame them though. If a child of mine went missing (through my own icompetance or not) i'd do everything i could to make sure people knew too.:(

by the way, is it actually known she was kidnapped? maybe she just wandered off and fell down a well or something?

This thread is in extremely poor taste. Shame on those of you who get a giggle out of this. I've laughed at many tasteless things but not at the abduction and likely murder of an infant...

    I'm serious by the way.

Sadly I believe if the poor little thing was taken by someone she is long dead...her parents signed her death warrant when they allowed her distinctive eye mark to be broadcast.
Their behaviour since it happened has always baffled me...
Days after their daughter was 'taken' from her room they decide to fly around the world for conferences and photo shoots, leaving their remaining two babies in the same resort that there's supposedly a dangerous paedophile or child sex ring operating. Then they pose for happy family photos in a park in a leading newspaper when there's meant to be a chance Madeleine would see it. If it was my child that was missing it would break my heart to think he was somewhere and saw the pictures of us all having a great time without him. The fact that the woman could have her hair and make up done, earrings etc so soon afterwards is unreal...I don't think I'd ever comb my hair or even brush my teeth for God knows how long. This site has lots of interesting reading about the case.

get down off that moral high horse just because you got sucked in by the rich doctors media coverage.

You say you have laughed at many tasteless things , I bet you have laughed at worse things in the past, starving africa jokes, tsunami jokes, dead celebrity jokes, muslim terrorist jokes, there all as bad , your just a victim of the current british media.
