Bought a car from a dealer, they sent the log book off, i checked on Motortax.ie & the change over of ownership was processed on April 8th, Still havent received the logbook itself though, The tax is now up on the car, Can i get it taxed without the logbook?

Technically I think you need it, although I popped into the Kildare CoCo office last week to tax mine, had the logbook and Insurance disk/paper as well as the NCT with me, they weren't interested in seeing any of it. Just took the money and said have a nice day.

Might head down me local tax office on Tuesday and see if they will let me tax it, Maybe if i explain the situation to them they might waive it, Like i have the NCT cert & the receipt from the garrage

You should well have that tax book back by now. May be worth another phone call to see what the delay is. Also, i would just fo into tax office with your renewal form filled out and not mention a thing unless asked. Often when you bring something to there attention they dig their heels in. Speaking from experience here.

The only things you need to tax a private vehicle are the RF100A and the money. No NCT, No insurance cert (just fill in the insurance details), and no VLC required.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
