last week I went to buy 3 items in dunnes and when i went to the till, it was only like 7 euro.. all 3 were were on special offer. didn't realised cause it was the same chicken, toothpaste and deoderant I always buy.

    consumer surplus ftw. :D

Had to get a new exhaust yesterday, they quoted me €165. When I came back to pick up the car I was charged €140.

there's a few people selling complete stainless steel exhaust systems for most motors on ebay for about a 3rd more than a regular mild steel one. pretty much guaranteed to last the life of the car though, so assuming you don't rip it off going over a speed bump at 60mph it's a good investment.
