Just a warning - that set doesn't include the final 'Life' series, Life in Cold Blood.

What are these documentaries like ? Are they as good as Blue Planet/Planet Earth ?

These series range from 1979 to 2005, and of course they share the same narrator (and in these series case, sometimes on-screen presenter) as the series you mentioned. It should be noted Attenborough is one of the few carry-overs from those series - the 'Life' series is much more of Attenborough's own baby.

The remasters of the earlier series are fantastic, but it should be remembered that most of those series are in 4:3.

The earlier series especially are less dramatic than Blue Planet and Planet Earth, but Attenborough's infectious but quiet enthusiasm for nature shines through as it always does and these series are generally regarded as the best nature documentaries ever commited to film.

It's full of wonderful worlds and creatures, so if you have any interest in this type of show there's no reason why you wouldn't enjoy any of the 'Life' series.
