Nuvi 765 not recognised

    My Nuvi 765 won t appear in my Mac's (10.4.11) desktop

    I've used a differnt usb cable, restarts etc.. i'm at a loss

    any ideas

    i've had it a month (pixmania)

    It just won't mount, i've had it connected for up to 20 min at a time.

    Tried webupdater, it doesn't recognise anything connected.
    dito, when i tried to update maps on the garmin site and when registering it.

    In the system profiler, it see's it as a "USB Device", normally i would expect it to say Garmin or Nuvi

    plugged it into a mates pc, and it appeared fine.

    i'm not in a position to use his pc for updates etc.... any advice as to what i can do with the mac to make it recognise the gps ?"
