Noel Carroll's Marathon Training Plan

    I wonder has anyone used this and how did they find it prepared them for a marathon?
    I know the longest run is 2:30 hours but the same week the total running time is 8.5 hours so they mileage is quite high even though the long runs may not be as long as other plans.
    I hope for a sub 4.30 for my second marathon ( as close to 4 as I can manage)but in all honesty I think a schedule with longer runs and less of them would suit better. 5-6 runs a week is fine if you have no life other than training ( tongue in cheek).
