very difficult to do. usually, you can just find the .swf file and download that. the flash file, http://glg.csisdmz.ul.ie/fgb/iomhanna/flash/dico.swf doesnt have all the information available. when it opens up and you click a letter it downloads the image for that page. you have to manually go through each page and download each image it references.

see this screenshot for the activity window in safari, each .jpg is a page from the dictionary. it would take forever to download each one.

    wow, snap

that would take ages - are you sure thats the only way?

    thanks

as far as i can see, yes.

if that .swf was to have all the information included with it, the filesize would be HUGE and take aaaaages to load. the way it is now makes it load very quickly (as it loads only requested pages)

there might be a way to automate the downloading of the images (as they seem to be in sequential order) but thats out of my league!

go to the flash file http://glg.csisdmz.ul.ie/fgb/iomhanna/flash/dico.swf

and then go to the page you want to save. then open up the activity window (command+option+a) and you'll find it there (you can see in my screen shot above eg 0002.jpg etc)
