There seems to be a few different options out there for these courses, but is there a list of ones that are specifically endorsed by the Church? I don’t want to go do a course and find out that it’s not an official one

Accord do them. You can do it over a day or a few nights. The church accepts them. Did one a few weeks ago pretty boring!! Though others tell me they are good.

Accord seems to be the most popular option, but I can't see how anyone of them are recgonised by the church, how do you know for sure beside the fact that other people have used them before?

The priest recommended accord and accepted their cert. Maybe ask your priest.

Not sure where in the country you are but we went to the cork marriage counselling centre it cost 100 € and was actually very good.. its recognised by the church and i must say it was excellent and well worth doing despite the horror stories we had heard

We did a really good course in All Hallows College, Dublin. It is recognized by church. very useful, and practical. They brought in a priest for about an hour.

Our church would only accept an Accord course. It's €200 for the course with them. I'm on mine tonight and tomorrow, and am prepared for a snooze fest. On the other hand, a friend of mine is getting married around the same time as me and her priest will accept any pre marriage course. Best bet is to check with your church before booking anything, just to be on the safe side.

We have the final part of our pre-marriage course (the long one, 9-3) with Accord on Saturday, and we need to postpone it due to a family emergency. Has anyone ever postponed theirs? Was there any hassle?

We had to defer ours and there wasn't any problem. They just rebooked us for another weekend and there weren't any charges involved. I would imagine that you have to defer the whole weekend course and not just one day of it though?
