    Hi,

just sold the car there, but I gave the change of ownership form to the guy who was buying it. In retrospect this was a very bad move as he has no real motivation to send this in. he can then use the M50 toll bridge away to his hearts content and I'll be landed with the bill. What should I do? Is there anything I can do?

    thanks,
    J

Easy way to check if the person you sold to has registered a change is checking on the motortax website

    Hi
I did the same thing recently. You will have to go to your solicitor and sign an affidavit to say you have sold the car. It will cost less than E20. Then you have to send it to the Motor Tax office in Shannon ( I suggest registered post )
If you get a letter from Eflow, ring them and tell them you no longer own the car and when you sold it. They will then chase the new owner. Hope this helps
