    I would be interested in a room during the ciollege but not for the summer.. does this cause a problem?

    Probably...
    I mean, if you want to keep the room for yourself for September you'll have to sort out the rent for the summer, either yourself or finsing someone to take the summer months.
    Otherwise just keep your fingers crossed and hope something's available in September.
