I had a 03 model a few years ago. Great car, didnt have any problems with it at all. Had it for about a year. Only sold it coz I was buying a house. It was tough to shift but that was about it.
My boyf at the time was a mechanic and he was the one who told me to go for it. Had never had any bad reports.

I had an incredible experience today, I was heading towards listowel and there was a Accent ahead of me, I was thinking oh no here we go again, [I had to make it for a NCT, bad windy roads etc] anyway to my amazement this 01 Accent absolutely legged it.

Must have done at least 80mph into listowel, and it was a woman also, must have been some sort of emergency or she had nitro under the hood.

so my opinion of Accents has changed now... marginally.. :pac:

I think there grand cars. They do what their supposed to do. Nothing special about them but they drive well and are easy to work on.

Very reliable cars- dont look great in my opinion- but they are built very well and engines seem to not throw up problems. just wondering- how much is it? as you can pick up corollas and almera's very cheap at the moment and they are decent looking cars - but wit reliabiltiy:cool:

Both of those cars are fairly reliable and cheap A-to-B motoring, but that said I can't stand the sight of either of them :pac:

I was given a 3-door Accent hatchback (older, uglier model) as a loaner for a couple of days while one of my previous cars was getting some work done and it felt like it was going to roll over every time I took a corner with any kind of speed!
