Loads of choices.....yaris, clio, civic, megane, golf etc etc

Has she any idea what car she would like? Does she do much mileage?

There's millions of lil cars around that could be great, you should bring her car to all the dealers selling the likes of Yaris, Clio, Micra or any of those and see who'll give you the best deal, Honda Jazz aint a bad lookin car. Or a funky Swift!

She wants a small car 5 door she does very little mileage mostly around town with some long journeys maybe a couple times a year.

Needs to be something that will last another 5-10 years. Civic Megane and Golf are all too big. She wants to stick around the 1 liter end of things

    Another Micra?
Windsor are doing a good scrapage deal at the minute.
I'd imagine putting 5K with your's should get you a relatively new, new shape one.
cuts out all the hassle of trying to sell and lining up a replacement.
