    Hi Lads,
Ive been there before for a few meetings but I have been given a few "enclosure" tickets, havent collected them yet.

Is this the reserved enclosure thats is like a tent thats set up out in the middle of the track kindof?

Its the main stand, half of it is the reserved enclosure the rest is general admission,I don't think there's anything set up in the middle of the track.

Reserved enclosure is down the far end of the stands - it encorporates the old stands (i.e. ones with no cover) and a lot of the bar area. Nothing in the centre of the course.

There is no reserved enclosure this year, they've done away with it akin to Leopardstown at Christmas.

Good move in my opinion, aside from 16k being there yesterday there was plenty of room in all areas.

Nope, there's definitely a reserved enclosure this year. It's based down the far end of the enclosure - past the main stand block, and the trade stands/shops, just the 'stand side' of the last chase fence. It encorporates the 'concrete steps', as I call them (the stand with no cover down at the last fence).

It's much smaller than it has been in previous years, which is good, as it gives a lot of room for the 'crowds' to move around in. Even today there was loads of room, and I thought there were way more than 16,000 people there today!

I guarantee you there was no reserved enclosure on Thursday when I was down there.

They are calling the corporate area the 'reserved enclosure' this year.

There is no reserved enclosure as such, but the tents and hospitality areas have a sign over them saying 'reserved enclosure' for some reason.

But for the general punter, there is no separation anymore (a good move if you ask me).

As somebody who was there each of the 5 days I guarantee you there was. Take a look at the map on page 5 of the racecard and you'll see quite clearly where it was.

The corporate area did make up a large amount of the reserved enclosure this year, but you need to have paid an arm and a leg to get the special wristbands which get you into the "pavillions". The rest of the reserved enclosure is open to those who paid the extra €10 for the admission ticket. It got you into the Champagne bar, the Guinness Bar and onto the stand closest to the last fence, all of which were much less crowded than the other areas.

Like you, I think it's a good idea that the 'general admission' enclosure was extended - it creates less of a 'them' and 'us' atmosphere and gives loads more room in the enclosure which makes it much easier for people to move about...

I'll say it again as you might be a little hard of hearing, there was definitely no reserved enclosure on Thursday.

My hearing is perfectly fine, thanks. As is my eyesight. And there definitely was a reserved enclosure.

Maybe there was some kind of a reserved enclosure down in the far end where the coprporate marquees were, but there wasn't one in any of the main stands which would have been the traditional place for one.

the traditional place for it is not the stands its down in the corporate and trade stand sections leading on and into the event centre and cost 10 euros extra on top of the admission price - security gaurds checking tickets are a dead giveaway at the entrance in the middle of the shopping village

What I meant by traditional is the place that it is in almost every other racecourse, which is in the best areas of the main grandstands.
