emigrating and i worked all year.. tax back?

    just wondering if and how you go about claiming tax back when leaving the country to move abroad.. a friend said he got over 2k back 2 years ago..

    any ideas?

    You need to have paid tax for lesss then 180 days to claim it back as I recall and you need to fill in a P50 and hand over your Irish P45.

    is that the start of the year or the tax year?

    hmm wondering is it worth staying in work for extra 2 months and lose out on taxback
