I presume he means Avoca in Wicklow, not Avoca the shop :)

It is defiantly possible but you have to think to yourself "Do I really want to spend 3 hours on the road 5 days a week??" "Will my friends/family ever visit me?" "Do I want to socalise and make new friends down here?"
On the other hand you’re seriously getting more for your money!:D

According to AA Route Planner it should take approx 1h 18min. Personally I would add on about 20-40 min during rush hour

It sure is possible to commute from. but some issues to consider would be will it still be possible to commute during the winter months a drop of snow out there and your not getting out.

Alternatively, take the train from Arklow. Takes about an hour and a half AFAIR

(Why is this in accommodation instead of commuting?)
