Is it a data disk or a full TS Movie disk? Burning the full 4.7 .iso is gonna take longer, so thats worth more.

You're looking at around €0.50 per disc roughly. Thats a cost of 30. Slips are cheap, cases are worth at least 30 again. Then there's the time involved. TBH for a small order I'd say €3 per unit would be fine, but it really depends on the situation.

its usually (but not always) stuff i film myself. For exapmle if i was to film an event how much then should i charge for say 10 or 20 copies?

And should i put fancy covers on it?

Ohh, that boost is alot. Cause you are selling your "art" for lack of a better word.

Depends on the length, a 20 minute gig is gonna be worth less than a 2 hour stage act. Also, number of cameras, quality and audio setup all factor in.

Case wise, I'd get those round plasitc ones that the disk clips into. Or, even better: http://www.shoxx.com/images/M/8094.jpg They are cool and will give a pro appearance.

I'd print out a simple logo'd and titled label. Can be done with any printer and a small piece of software. Simply load the labels into paper feed and hit print. Will make you look like you know what you're doing and will get you a good price. Also, an email address will get you more business :)

Depending what it is you could charge from €5-€20.

NO sorry i meant its stuff like plays or concerts i get asked to film and i get paid for filmming them.

Sorry for all the questions but what would be a good price for editing and dvd authoring?

Yeah, I worded that badly, I got what you meant. But by editing it, its your intelectual property and skills as well as the DVD itself that being sold.

Without knowing every little detail there's no way we can really give more than the range I suggested above.

    Hi,

I recently did a school concert, with 3 hours footage on a single DVD. I sat on a stool recording it over 2 nights, and spent the majority of the next week making around 100 copies. Its time consuming recording and editing, and then ejecting and inserting blank dvds for copying.
I presented them in a full size plastic dvd case, (like you' get with an xtravision rental say) and i printed a cover, with a title and the school logo on the front in B&W.
I charged €10 and they sold like hot-cakes!! You could tempt €15, but if your looking for sales, id go €10, particularly as things are tight at the minute.

If you're just copying ones then £5
If you're doing all the work (which in this case you are) then £10-15.

    1. Have you been hired to record, edit a play or concert?
    2. Or is it that you get permission to record and then make the DVD's and offer them for sale ?
Surely in a school play the only buyers will be those who are in the play so very limited for sales, so return for time spent would be very low.
    3. I would say a charge for filming it, then a charge for editing depending on what they want the time it will take..
4 included in the price say 10 DVD's then something 5 - 10 euro for each extra one, label and cover.

of course it all varies depend on size, eg 4.7 gb or 1 gb
