    Hi there,
I've my eye on an auction, it's collection only because it's too big for postage, I'm willing to collect, but the item is marked as:

    Postage:
    To Ireland -- Not specified
    Post to: United Kingdom
Item location: **********, ********** United Kingdom

I wont be placing a bid on this until close to end, by which time it may be too late if I've a problem because I'm in Ireland. I know before I've tried to buy things in the US and was told there is a problem with my location. Can anyone tell me if I'll be able to bid on this or will I have problems?

    Any feedback appreciated :)

Hi there.. firstly, this post is assuming it's an eBay auction. Otherwise, ignore my advice. :)

When's it set to finish? Your best bet here is to ask the seller tbh, there's no other way of finding out for sure. :) There is an option on every auction to ask the seller a question and hopefully (s)he'd get back to you in enough time. They may even have blocked overseas bidders.

*Technically* if they haven't blocked bidders from overseas from bidding via buyer requirements, they're obliged to sell if you're the winning bidder. In practice, they can't be forced to do so unfortunately - so if you ever have someone refusing to sell, all you can do is report them for seller non performance and hope they get banned!

Thanks for the reply. They have their phone number on the auction page so I'll give them a buzz in the morning if the price is still in budget :)
