    Hi,
I am after starting a website (I won't mention it, as fear of this being classed as spam) and as it is a blog, and needs constant attention, I was wondering if anyone would like to become a writer for the site.

The site is still being built and will feature a podcast (which you could be featured in) and feature articles.

Basically, I'm looking for someone, who could update the site with a post every couple of days.

I might consider adding two people to the team, and I'll create you a unique site account as a writer, so you can have full access to publishing tools, which I hope you won't take for granted.

This is completely voluntary, and will not be rewarded, as the site has no income (for the time being).

So, if interested, just please reply to this thread, and please don't PM me, just reply to this and I'll PM you.

So you want people to sign up to a site that may or may not be somewhat related to computers?

Will it host porn? If not then I'm not interested :p

It might be an idea to get the site off the ground yourself first, and look for contributors later?

I don't think that would be a good idea, because to get it of the ground, that means having a constant flow of quality material, which I can't provide, so I need someone to help.

    Oops
    Did I not mention that?

Mainly a gaming and tech blog, basically.

News and the odd feature article.

At least you went for a niche market.

Youre clearly not smart enough to cope on that a website posted in the"Computers and Technology" forum is about "Computers and Technology".

Please, don't bother posting again, as I want someone with a slight bit of intelligence.

Clearly, you don't fit into the category.

Clearly you don't know when someone is taking the piss!!

These kind of sites are ten a penny these days.

Also, bad puncuation and spelling in your post.

You're not on your own website just yet...

If you can't provide a constant flow of quality material why not shape your site into something that you can?

Okay, you're a mod. You have every right to go and criticise boards.ie and their matters, but you have no right to comment on an external site.

I will be visiting the help desk and reporting you, as you clearly are not doing your duties properly

You know I was considering volunteering for this as I'm out of work and it'd keep me occupied.

However after seeing your attitude rapidly change over some minor criticisms I don't think I'll bother.

You'd hardly be a team player if someone suggested you make change A) or change B) or recommend you ditch feature C) as it's just not working out.

You seriously need to readjust your attitude if you expect techies or indeed anyone to want to help you out like this.

You probably saw the above post, that I don't accept brainless people.

I also don't accept lazy, unemployed, dole-claimer fools like you either

Christ, I nearly pissed myself laughing. In fact, I think I did piss myself a little. Yep, definitely a wet spot there.

In the real world, a blog/site about tech and gaming news are two a penny. Unless you want to specialise in something directly like Citrix, VMware etc and hope you get published or build up a small following I really can't see it ever working out.

Look at the budgets of some of the bigger well established sites and tell me its worthwhile.

We can compare qualifications and jobs if you want. I really don't think you will win.

Brainless? Think you have that one down to a tee.

I'm on the dole out of necessity not because I want to be. As you openly admit your writing skills aren't the best and I'd presume that means your journalistic prowess leaves little to the imagination so you may not be aware of this but we're in a recession with alot of people being laid off and it very hard to find work at the moment.

You really know how to ask for help don't you? As others have already pointed out the type of site you wish to create is a dime a dozen and unless you really stand out (ie Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation) you're going nowhere and fast especially with an attitude like that.
