I really rate Nevin, I think he's absolute class and his performance in this years Irish Senior final was absolutely impeccable.

However this(taken from inside the article), 'Wearing a t-shirt stating “It’s hard to be humble when you’re as great as I am”,'.
Needs to be cut out, and he can't allow himself to become big headed before he's achieved anything major. He's got himself an Irish title, and an EU Gold medal and if he wants a medal at the next World Championships(August this year in Italy), or the next Olympics he'll have to keep his head from swelling too big.

He's the best amateur we have imo, and I think that despite his style being 'suited to the amateurs' he'd make a great pro. But overconfidence and arrogance can be the death of a fighter.

Best of luck to him at the EU Championships, hopefully he can retain his title there.

He has a lovely relaxed style, but I feel when up against a guy who isn't going to be flustered, John Joe will be in trouble. He needs to be a little busier maybe.
I think back to his loss to the Mongolian, who didn't break sweat and still
    handled Nevin rather comfortably.

He did look busier here against the Canadian. And a hell of a lot more variety.
    Keep it up!

The t-shirt thing was just a buzz and a reminder to anyone interested, of the famous
Ali quote. I have that exact quote above a picture of Ali in my house!

He has the style to do well in the amateurs, but to be the top 1-2-3, I think he needs
more and will come up short against a real busy and aggressive and cool fighter

As for pro, I don't like his style to be suitable.

in all fairness to jjn the mongolian was 2nd best fighter imo at the olympics and nevin gave him his closet scoring fight in the olympics . i hope he dosent get too big headed as i think he could possibly win a medal at this years worlds , i think he would easily adjust his style to the pros and could be a future world champion
