ASOS - lost in post

Has this happened to anyone else??

I have been a loyal customer of ASOS for over a year now and always recommend them to friends but my last order has apparantly been "lost in the post" by An Post.... (i do feel that someone might have just liked the look of a big asos box and taken liberties with it)

ASOS have just emailed me back to say that they can replace the items that are still in stock and refund the others. It feels like such a huge letdown (as i ordered these items on the 13th and it's now the 29th) because none will probably still be in stock.

Anyway, the point of this post is has this happened to anyone else lately? And if so, did you get any replaced items at all?

Bummer. Yeah this happened to me once.

I got all the items again though.

It also happened to me with Oasis and even though they received the box back (Postman forgot to put the slip in the door so it waited the week and was shipped back) they couldn't just resend it (I even offered to pay) so I couldn't get any of the items back again as they were sale stuff. I was huffing mad. I did get a refund though.

Thanks everyone. Yeah most of the stuff that i ordered were sale items though :( so i can probably kiss those goodbye. Just had a call from a friend there and it turns out that it's happened to her twice in the last 2 months... There definitely has to be something odd going on with the post offices. Like, they're not tiny packages or anything so i don't see how they're "lost" so easily. It's really ruined my whole day thinking about it!

yeah that happened to me with a pair of shoes from asos that i needed for a wedding.
expected them to be asses about it but was pleasantly surprised when they refunded me no questions asked.
Was a bit of a bummer though cause then I had to go out and buy a pair of shoes a few days before the wedding.

Yeah that's what i mean, like they're nice enough about it. It's just so annoying that these things get "lost". Ok, we hear those old stories about how envelopes get stuck between floorboards and aren't found for 30 years and then they're delivered, but these are big packages! "lost" just doesn't cover it methinks!

I order online quite abit for myself and family. I have noticed too that items go astray far too frequently.... I only purchase from websites that are happy to replace/refund for non delivery of goods. They have insurance against theft/loss of goods in transit. They include the cost of this insurance in your delivery charge that is how they recoup the hit. Some websites will only deliver to ROI by 'signed for/registered post' You need to be careful that you are not left high and dry...

I buy off ebay a lot and call in or phone the post office after 8 days to check on my parcel. You'll be amazed at the amount of times that the parcel is there and that they "tried to deliever it" but didn't have the notepaper to let you know that no one was home.

There was a hidden camera documentary on British Post last year on TV (think it was Channel 4) because so many packages were going missing. Turns out the staff were pocketing a lot of things. Could be the problem here.

Have to admit I don't trust the postal system at all. At Christmas my sister couldn't come home so we all sent her presents and 2 out of 3 never turned up, they were posted a day apart but the 1st one was too late for the last post so I think they probably ended up in the same bag, was so pissed off and suspicious at the time and really disappointed for my sister having to spend Christmas away from home with only 1 pressie:(

I've ordered from ASOS more than a week ago, haven't got anything yet. I only ordered a pair of earrings and hair accessories. My order was shipped out the next day after I ordered it. Expected it to arrive maybe on Thursday or Friday. I'm probably being impatient but after looking at this thread... there could be something going on?
