A Fatal Four Way featuring Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, and Kane is announced for tonight. The winner will earn No.1 spot for the World Heavyweight Championship at Judgment Day.

Chris Jericho enters first. He brags about himself being the dominant superstar on SmackDown. Edge comes out and heckles him calling him a tormenter. Edge then mentions that Jericho lost to Cena and brags that he hasn't. The crowd cheers for Edge. He continues to insult Jericho and calls himself the "Main Event." Edge gets a huge pop after complimenting the Garden and the crowd cheers for Cena as Jericho retaliates and CM Punk comes out to a huge pop. CM Punk then shows a video of himself beating Edge to win the World Title. Jericho says that nobody cares what he says (too a lot of heat). Punk ignores him and Jericho rebuggs him. He says that he's done with Edge and Punk. Edge says that nobody cares about what Punk has to say. Punk says that Edge is now worthless that he has nobody cheating for him. CM Punk vs. Edge is announced for later. CM Punk says if he defeats Edges, he'll cash in his briefcase.

-Jericho pinned Kane following a Swanton Bomb by Jeff Hardy. Jericho was disqualified after he hit Mysterio with a chair. Hardy pins Mysterio by reversing a leg drop into a hurricanrana pin.

A tribute to the troops video package is shown.

Chris Jericho, Maria, and Edge are shown backstage. Jericho and Edge both ask Maria where Teddy Long was and they are furious about their matches.

Cryme Tyme comes out to a big pop. JTG gets the crowd cheering and they discuss their first night on SmackDown. They welcome Layla and Eve to the ring and they dance off. Layla dances first, with a huge pop. Eve also receives a huge pop and impresses the fans. They then dance together. Eve easily wins to a huge pop. She then dances with Cryme Tyme and Layla hits Eve from behind. They fight and Cryme Tyme is forced to restrain them.

Sherri from "The View" announces that MVP will make a special appearance on the show this coming Monday.

MVP b. Dolph Ziggler to retain the United States Championship.
MVP is accompanied to the ring by Sherri of "The View." MVP hit the Playmaker for the pinfall after a distraction from Sherri. Good match.

CM Punk b. Edge in a non-title match.

Thought they said on Raw it was going to be a 5-way scramble to become the No. 1 contender with Jo Mo involved  regardless, the match with Shelton should be tops.

    superstars
ECW/Smackdown taping and we will have live spoilers here on the site throughout the evening.
    Taped for WWE Superstars:
*Evan Bourne defeated Paul Burchill with a shooting star press. Good match.
*Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox defeated Gail Kim and Maria.
    ecw
ECW opens with a video on Christian Cage's ECW title win. Christian comes to the ring in street clothes. He said that ever since he returned, he said he'd be ECW champion. He said that before Jack Swagger comes out and tries to interrupt him, he wants to say today is the greatest day of his career as he's standing before all his peeps as champ. He dares Swagger to come out but instead out comes Tommy Dreamer in a suit. He said we finally have a champ that epitomizes everything ECW is about. He said that he made a promise to win the title or walk away. He said he has less than six weeks before his contract expires and is here in MSG to challenge Cage. Fans chanted ECW.

Cage offered to do it tonight but out came Swagger. Swagger said he wasn't going to let the farce go on because Cage is only champion because he cheated and that's not fair. He said the idea that Dreamer wants a title shot is a joke. He said that in three weeks at Judgment Day, he has his rematch and will take the belt back. Until then, he tells them to stop wasting everyone's time.

Tiffany comes out. She says that Swagger does have a title shot at the PPV but he's wrong in that no one else can have one. She says they will have a title match tonight.
Tyson Kidd pinned Finlay after nailing him in the back with the shillelagh.

Vladimir Kozlov cut a promo from the stage dressed like a Russian soldier saying it was just a matter of time before ECW fell under his complete domination.

Gregory Helms debuted as a backstage interviewer with special guest Evan Bourne, who said he had title aspirations. Paul and Katie Lea Burchill showed up and said they will have a rematch on WWE Superstars this Thursday.

Tommy Dreamer defeated Christian Cage by DQ when Jack Swagger hit the ring and attacked Dreamer as he was preparing to attack Cage, who was tied to the tree of woe. Swagger laid them both out.

After reading the spoilers earlier i was gald to see this thread.

Smackdown is looking like the show to watch as far as i'm concerned.

Jeff v Edge without HHH in the middle of it will work well. I was wondering what would happen with punk after losing to kane, looks like a feud with umaga. Good to see he beat edge and got time to interact with the heels at the top of the show. This is the type of booking he needed last year.

Really looking forward to watching the show. Think I will even avoid the spoilers from now on.

Thanks. Who produces ECW? It is the most consistant show (WWE) by a mile

I actually have no idea but if you want really good wrestling every week watch ECW.

Agreed. The two ecw guys had the best match at backlash. I have hopes for smackdown now based on the spoilers. Hopefully stupid segments like having chryme tyme fluting around with dance segments is kept to a minimum.

Watching Smackdown now. Had it on record to skip the ads, just over half way through now. This show is class so far. Long live Smackdown post draft. There is no point comparing this show to RAW, smackdown is so much better.

EDIT: Sweet Jo Mo is going face and gonna be fighting jericho! Loving this more every minute...... Punk whistling on the way to the ring in the middle of the chaos, nice stuff.

Edit no 2: Call me mad, but i feel like a thief this smackdown is as good as many PPV and its costing me nothing extra.

I really enjoyed the show as well. The opening segment with Jericho, Edge and Punk was very good. I see Edge evolving into a tweener type character down the road. The Morrison match was fine; it basically confirmed he was going face. I should be bitching about the dancing segment but **** it, Layla and in particular Eve are both incredibly easy on the eye. :pac:
I will take this rather than the god awful Santina nonsense on Raw every day of the week. The MVP v Dolph match was good as well. I was surprised that Punk beat Edge clean after losing to Kane though, but I don’t think it hurts Edge to much and it builds up Punk so I am cool with it. The four way match was great fun, Rey v Jeff in a main event would be huge if they ever done it in the future.

I am with you on all of that. The dancing was even good, when compared to, as you said, santina.

They did mention edge being in a last man standing match so he can complain about it on that score. I wonder if umaga getting involved will be someting to do with edge covering himself in case he lost to punk? Overall i was delighted with the matches and to see so many guys get the chance to show some personality with in ring promo or backstage segments.

Just hoping they are going to continue like this and didn't just try and pull off a certain style of show as they were at MSG.

Both ECW and Smackdown where great this week Finlay vs Tyso Kidd was one of the best matchs ive seen so far this year. John Morrison vs Shelton Benjamin was good too.

Really want to see CM Punk/Jericho feud I'd love to hear Mr Jerichos views on the whole straight edge thing.

Thought Morrison versus Benjamin was far too short.

And I'm happy to have Eve and Layla dance away, just so long as they don't try and wrestle. Speaking of, no Melina?

Dolph Ziggler versus MVP seemed very old-school to me. Match was short, each move meant something, and that celeb valet was suitably over the top. Very enjoyable.

Wasn't overly impressed by the four way. I honestly think Henry, Finlay, Dreamer and Christian did a better job of it a few weeks ago on ECW.
