SATA Controller

    My computer wont boot up, i cant access windows at all.

    I hooked up my harddrive to my laptop and and i can access my files fine. My friend said there was probably something wrong on my motherboard or with my 'SATA Controller':confused:. Anyway he suggested i get this

    Does anyone know if it'll need drivers or if itll solve my problem.

    I saw that thanks, but it wont be much use if they're on cd drive. What i really want to know is if i'll be able to just plug it in and it'll work. Im using windows xp home edition.
