hi wondering what the story is, im in 1st year and sick of my course, i want to do a language as part of my university education and something interesting and practical, my course now is the complete contrast of that.

does anyone know the cost of a course in DIT for example if you have completed 1 year in another college?

AFAIK if you drop out after christmas you'll have to pay FULL fees.

If you dropped out before christmas, you only have to pay HALF

So you could just wait it out, Go back to your current course in Sept and drop out anytime up until christmas.
But that means you only start in new college in 2010.

Check with your Student Union or Student Fees office though first

Yes if you dopped out before Christmass its half fees, but I don't see the benefit of dropping out of his current course in second year, as that means in his new course he pays the full for first year there as he is starting from scratch and half of the scond year too, and I think it is six grand
