    Not much to tell. It's a cross between text-messaging/IM's and blogging.

    You "tweet" short messages either out to the world (e.g. "BuffyBot is off to the store now, buying mangoes. I love mangoes" or whatever takes your fancy), or towards another Twitter user ("@fryup what are you doing today? Call me!"). Other people "tweet" their messages. You can follow other people's tweets, and they can follow yours. Individuals, celebrities, companies can all tweet and you can keep up with their news.

    You create a network of tweeps (twitter peeps) and communicate with them via twitter.

    That's pretty much my nutshelling.

    It's rather like having a blog, except that it has a 140 character limit and goes down all the time.

    Basically take the whats on your mind box out of facebook and call it twitter. Thats all it is.
