Husband left me, what happens to our rent allowance?

    What are you suppose to do if you are recieving rent allowance and your husband walks out on you....as mine did this morning frown.gif my 21yr old son lives here also and there is no way we can pay the rent between us, will the rent allowance be increased for me as a deserted wife or what? Does anyone know?? My heart is breaking and having to deal with this as well is enough to push me over the edge.

    sorry to hear about that. You wont get money for your son but I think it should be grand. It depends on how many bedrooms you have and how many people living in the house. My ex is a social worker. If its only you and your son and you have a 3 bedroom house try to use your third bedroom as a "storage" room for what your husband left and ya should be grand.
    Im not expert on it so look into it properly
