Hi all, am off to Peru to trek the inca trail, machu picu etc. Have a few questions
    1) What kind of bag do I pack stuff into?
    2) Hiking boots needed or what? What kind?
    3) Fleece or anything like that?

Basically I need some major help and appreciate any given. Cheers

did it a few years ago.

hire a porter - they will carry a bag for you (they provide you with a canvas bag, you fill it with changes of clothes etc, leave you main luggage locked up in their office in Cusco) & tent & sleeping bag. you only carry a small bag with drinks, snacks etc.

warm in day, cold at night, so need layers for night time. will need a copule of t's per day as will get soaked with sweat.

get a decent pair of hiking boots, with socks . prob. don't want heavy duty boots as shouldn't be wet. use them plenty to make sure broken in, as you'll be walking for 6-10hours (incl. breaks) so don't want to be uncomfortable.

don't forget a sun hat and long sleeved t's etc as can be very sunny!!

    bring a good camera!!

    Enjoy!!
