Hoping the drummers could help me out with this one

Ways for counting eighth and sixteeth notes are pretty standard
but i can't seem to find any info on how to count tuplets

So what way do you count quintuplets, sextuplets and er... (seven-tuplets :))

The indian syllable system works for me, it's excellent

Thank you! That links very useful

So how would divide up the beat further?

ie turning TA KA DI MI (crochets) into quavers

Well, it's just a way to phonetically count a particular number of notes, regardless of what type of note it is.

For example, 4 eighth notes followed by a group of 4 sixteenth notes and finished with another 2 eighth notes would be phrased :

    Ta - Ka - Ta - Ka - Takadimi - Ta - Ka
