    Hi there,
I've just bought a pair of jimmy choos! they're the new Corsica gladiator sandal in green and black, :D i was wondering if anybody knew the best way to protect the italian leather sole on these?
I did have a pair of manolo's re-soled before i wore them, just there at christmas, but it was a black plasticy looking sole that was put on them and if there was something better out there i would gladly avail of it!

I know u cant see the sole but just realy dont wana mess these up as you can imagine!!! :)

any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
    thanks a mill!

Ah sure shoes are meant to be worn! If it were me, I wouldn't resole them - it's not like people can see the part anyway which will get scuffed.

But yes I know how you wouldn't want them to get messed up, but still I think you should just wear them how they are :)

Wear them away as normal, but if you need to resole them, make sure to find a good cobbler and insist on a leather replacement sole.

At the end of the day they are just shoes...yes, beautiful ones, but still...just shoes. They are meant to be worn and enjoyed, not put in a climate controlled glass case like a museum piece.

Also, what what the purpose of having the Manolos re-soled before wearing them? I assume they were brand new. Was there something wrong with the original soles. Did you pack away the original soles for safekeeping.

I like shoes as much as the next woman but I think I'm missing something here. Seems a bit OTT.
