S4C will be showing all the Lions matches in highlights form including 3 tests. So for those (who can't afford/don't want to pay Sky) with satellite and those along eastern seaboard who can receive S4C via an aerial this is good news indeed. Handy to have another option. If they produce it in the same manner as Heavily-Marketed-Cooking-Cider League games, commentary in English will be available on the red button.

Thanks for that OP. It's nice to know I have the option of watching the highlights at home.....after coming home from the pub and watching the match live :P

Just like me a real fanatic! My wife can't understand when I go to watch a match live why I record the game at home and then watch it all over again!

I've never understood why the gov doesn't trump sky by saying that a comp must be allowed to broadcast live sports events as gaeilge should they choose to when it's only available in English on the exclusive broadcaster. Would allow RTE to pick and choose what they cover and when, would promote the language (to some limited degree) and I think it would be fairly handy from a legislative point of view.

Well that would imply an organised, inteliigent, coherent and people-focused policy on the part of a government body....Thats about as commonplace as an organised, coherent and intelligent TD. i.e. don't hold your breath
