Gobsmacked when i seen this, it's a 2005 very indie movie from Canada, film festival type job based on a book. I watched it for lead actress Lauren Lee Smith, she joined the cast of CSI Vegas for the current season and had not seen her in anything else.

From the promo i was expecting a romantic/relationship type thing....what i got was
NON stop nudity, full frontal, penis...erect penis!

Like,,,,what the hell?, erect penis in a movie  , not only that in one scene Lauren had the penis on her bottom lip, as in she'd just finished giving oral....never seen anything like it, outside of XXX stuff. I thought indie and mainstream movies were not allowed to shoot stuff like that?

I was really surprised to se an actress such as her do such explicit stuff, sure over the years we've seen alot of controversial stuff and mainstream actors have done alot of sexual stuff, but for me personally the level and frequency of the sex stuff kinda took me aback. Add to this is it a poor movie.

Yes the movie police don't let them...

Canadian flicks can be quite edgy - Denys Arcand, David Cronenberg, Atom Egoyan etc and art movies are allowed to be "durty".

To be honest I'm all in favour of well known actors getting their kits off and engaging in honest potrayals of sex and sensuality. Helps remove giggling in the cheap seats.

Lemme add, the male actor was Eric Balfour...i remembered him from season one of The OC, he wasn't like 100% stiffie...but definately 50% and certainly not totally limp, if you'd seen the movie you'd understand.

I'm sure the star of Mutant X would be more at home in the films of David Mamet or Lawrence Kasden. Lets be honest, Lie With Me did more for her career than anything she had done before it.

^ i guess so....but her imdb profile has a fair bit of work, before and after Lie With Me....but, does such a movie boost your profile?, being a female won't the only parts on offer be nudity based stuff?

Or is it more about getting noticed and your "profile" going up?

That's the point of the film it's not about sex or titillation but rather the psychology behind it.

I agree, it suggested this girl screws lots of guys...it was all about having orgams and dismissing love. She has issues with her parents and divorce, never been in love...only time she felt pleasure is when she had an orgasm.

I did get the message, but it was poorly done and smeared by the graphic stuff...the amount of dialogue was very little.

Sounds like 9 songs which is quite possibly the worst film ever made.

Don't see the point of sex in movies - porn does it better end of, don't know why they even bother
