    Anyone notice his union jack cue case? Don't want to cast aspersions but does anyone know if he considers himself Irish or British?

    no it isn't but it would be if they were playing the national anthems before every match. Remember the furore over flags and anthems when eddie irvine won a few races

    I remember that well, but Eddie wanted the tricolour shown etc.

    If Mark considers himself British (which would seem obvious) he would have no problem.

    I don't know what it is with Mark Allen but I just can't get behind him like I would Ken or Joe Swail if they were playing in the semis. I'd almost rather see Higgins win

    You mean he is wearing an NI soccer jersey...is it?

    He had a run in with Ken Doherty a while back in a tournament. The black wouldn't go back on its spot and he hammered the side cushion with his fist. Doherty called him a disgrace after.

    hmm, Id love to see him win it, although if he keeps playing the way he played in his first session against higgins...I cant see him lasting the semis
