I'm finished my final year college exams in a few exams and I'm not having any luck finding a job so far. In the event that I can't find anything can I apply for jobseekers allowance when the exams are over in May or do I have to wait until after the graduation ceremony in October?

you need to bring in a letter from the college saying you've finished.

You will also need your passport and a utility bill (for proof of address - bank statements also work, as do letters from the revenue or your lease)

You should also bring in evidence that you've been searching for a job without luck - they might not ask for it but it's better to have that on hand.

Yeh exactly. By no means you have you wait until you graduate. But you need a letter as mentioned. They might not give you this until results are out in case you have to repeat. Just ask the college when your finished your exams
