    Bit of a beginners question...

A bit more specific is people won't be travelling or allowed to travel to certain destinations(thomas cook have cancelled all flights to cancun) cos of the flu breakout so airlines will suffer in turn and they are a main user of oil. So travel down reflects on oil. Airlines such as BA make up big parts of different markets eg FTSE. Also transporting Oil will be an issue with this flu breakout.

On the other hand pharma companies are up like glaxo and roche who have products that can combat this flu so they are being bought on the back of this although no one yet has a vaccine and if they do hop on board.

There are more underlying facts but that’s the general jist of it.
