looking for tips..on how to get cows back incalf quickly!
i hav 1 or 2 cows calved now 60+ days..and no sign of heat yet!i also have a few that calaved since then+2 that calved last week!
    i do use ai--as i am a pedigree breeder,so more variety for me,etc....

is there anything i can use,ie--inject them, like get them a bulling at the one time! as season is rolling on--you wnat to have your calves calving Jan(to late now)or feb..etc..

any ideas,on what to do? i had a bullock with them last year-was useless, cows did better job themselves..hav ayoung bull at month(august calf-will let him out)mite do the job!

but i'd like to get a real tighter calving pattern-only keep a few cows-spring+autumn calvers..and the spring time drags with them..not good--get me drift!!

    any tips--b most gratefull

    happy farming!!

Once they have calved 50 to 60 days, use this:

    http://www.cidr.com/CIDR.aspx?species=OO&drug=CI&sec=000

Stick one of these on the top of their tails:

And you should then have compact calving. Of course, you'll be wasting your time if you don't feed them adequately while this is going on, or if you insert the CIDR too soon after calving.
