Shoes for cycling and walking about

I want to try out cleats but I really don't want to have to carry a spare pair of shoes with me and I want to be able to walk in them, so I'm thinking of looking into the skateshoe-esque designs around the place (as well as the vittoria 1976 because they look snazzy) and I'd like to know if anyone has come across anything decent with cleats that don't look like a cycling shoe and that you can comfortably walk around in with the general public being none the wiser?
Perhaps this is an impossible feat of (shoe) engineering brilliance but I'm looking for someone to give me hope :D

Shimano Shoes MTB MT31 SPD Shoes

I got a pair of these for touring last year, they're great (in theory) but with recessed sole and cleat inside it its a VERY tight fit around the pedal, and disengaging is quite tricky (not like a normal road cleat job click your out - more of a wrenching your foot out of it!) but if its a recessed cleat you want then I pretty sure this is a problem which goes with the territory!

Anyway there are lots of similar ones from shimano, but this one should give you a flavour of what they look like :)

someone here mentioned Specialized Sonoma last week - in stock in Cycleways for €54 - had a look in there on Sunday and I want them.

I've got pairs of Shimano MT21 - my feet always seem to feel cold in them but they're grand to walk in - and 661 Filter SPD - these are a bit big for me so I'm not so keen but I think in the right size they'd be grand and probably more comfy than the shimanos

can't justify the Sonoma at the moment but they're on my list

I have the Specialized Sonoma and they are grand for commuting etc. They also don't look particularly like a cycling-specific shoe. They are reasonably walkable, the only issues would be that the bottom is smooth and so not great for slippy stuff. Only really an issue if you were out on a MTB with them, as I found out. €54.99 is a good price I reckon, they used to cost more.

    +1 on Taho
At the moment, I use Nike Kato shoes, which i prefer, but I think you can only find them on eBay at that stage, they're an older model ( they have male and female model ) - I wear all day at work and noone notices :)

I got a set of of FN20's. They are a lot better lokoing in person. Quite comfortable for walking and even driving in.

I have shimano MT90s, which look like normal walking boots. An excellent shoe.
