After losing a grueling semi-final, players would just want to get out of Sheffield, relax with the family and look ahead to the next tournament. Wouldn't have that much of a purpose either.

(I saw the 'It happened today' thing on BBC tonight as well. The game was only 7-3, just a one sessioner')

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of it & I would imagine the players wouldn't be either. Aswell, in the current format the schedules are pretty busy at the final weekend anyway.
