Tg4.tv on Gran Paradiso(Archlinux)

    Has anyone tried this before?

I just installed Arch, and am quite pleased, but there is one problem.

Firefox is installed as gran paradiso, and some sites (eg tg4.tv) reports that it does not support it.

I have set general.useragent.extra.firefox to Firefox/3.0.9, and installed the user agent switcher extension , and selected IE7 (on vista).

now tg4.tv recognises the browser, but reports that WMP is not installed, so I cannot play any content.

Does anyone know of a good configuration for user agent switcher, or another workaround?

    Hi, fellow Archlinux user here.
I actually uninstalled Gran Paradiso, and installed the proper FF from AUR.
If you are unfamiliar with AUR and its usefulness, please read our fine Wiki, and dont hesitate to use the forums as well.
There is a binary download for FF available via AUR here:

    http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=18077

Download the tarball into a build dir in your home dir, then run makepkg -sci. That will domnload the pre-built binary, package it, and install it.

    Hey Bonzodog,

    Thanks for your reply.

Ill give the AUR a try, and see how it goes.

Ive used the arch forums, they are great, but I posted this here, as I thought nobody would know what tg4.tv was, and it might be blocked outside Ireland.
