Just got me iPhone second hand from a guy it work. Tried to enter the code he told me but got it wrong several times. Now it wants to speak to the mothership (iTunes)

Will I have to send it back to the workmate so he can hook it up to his own iTunes or will just entering the correct pass code fix it ?

How do I go about using it with iTunes seeing as it has been used with someone else's account ?

Please forgive noobiness, even had to Google getting a SIM in to it :-)

Everything was fine when I entered the correct passcode - no need to connect to iTunes.

installed iTunes, create a new account, hooked up the iPhone and iTunes took care of the rest. It prompted me to associate the phone with the new account.
