Has anyone done or currently doing this course? I was thinking about doing it just in case my Leaving Cert doesn't go to plan. I really want to do Biotechnology in DCU but, I don't think I will get the points.

DCU requirements if applying after the PLC course
CASLT Applied Science - Laboratory Techniques
Distinctions in 5 modules including 4 from the following modules:
    C20011 Chemistry
    C20006 Biology
    C20048 Physics
    C20139 Mathematics
    C20033 Laboratory Techniques
    and
Student must have attained a minimum of pass in C20139 Mathematics Hide

This is what is putting me off doing this is the requirement of getting 5 distinctions, it seems extremely difficult plus I only do HL biology so It's starting to seem a bit impossible to achieve in a year.

The other course medical labatory science, is 2 years long and colaiste dhulaigh's site say you're given an advance place into DCU, DIT etc. So it's a bit tempting to go for that course.

Does anyone do these courses? If so, can you tell me how difficult these modules are? It would really, really, really help me!

    Thanks!
