Resident Evil 5

Picked this up yesterday for cheap, heard some good things from a few co-op playing friends.
I presume and i hope this gets better the further you get into it?
The controls are clunky to say the least !

From people that have gotten far in the game , is it worth it?
Does the gameplay get better after warding off the first few zombie attacks?

I did have a search for related threads, but it was a more price related thread and old as well.

Resi is class... its a stop and shoot action/adventure game but its always been like that... I played through it on the hardest difficulty its well worth the time! Online play is a good laugh too... some nice unlockable content when you've completed it too! Enjoy!

It looks lovely, but it aint a patch on the original games. Resident Evil 2 is still the best of the series :cool:

Thanks for the replies, i did play resident evil 1 alright back on the PS1, a lot more puzzles back then.
I just find it difficult to see whats going on ie if you have a room full of zombies

I was watching some youtube videos of the chapter im on, maybe my skillz are crap afterall. Guy also seems to have a lot more ammo than me though, hmmmm

You will have infinite ammo on any weapon you have fully upgraded after you complete the game on any difficulty.

I'd stick with it - it does get much better. Personally, I found the demo to be pretty crap but loved the game itself and have played through it a couple of times on normal and hard (you get some mad costumes and infinite ammo for fully upgraded weapons as mentioned, once you complete it once through). But like most people will tell you, it just isn't really a "classic" Resident Evil, survival horror game anymore, but more of an action game - but a very good action game at that.

BTW, even without infinite ammo, you keep everything in your inventory/stored items throughout the game - so after you've completed it once, you have the more powerful weapons available right from the start. So taking out tougher enemies, like the executioner in chapter 1-1 is a helluva lot easier with a rocket launcher .

Noodler, picked it up for €30 in Game in Blanch.

J-blk , that executioner got me a few times, cornered in the hut and walloped to death !

That just makes it more fun the second time around when you can kick his ass with a rocket/grenade launcher/shotgun, etc . I found that hugely satisfying...

Have been playing Resi online with one of the lads from work for a couple of hours every second night. Its a top game on co-op. The enemies get harder and sneakier as you progress. For anyone starting to play this, when upgrading weapons when you upgrade your gun's capacity you get a full clip of ammo!! Anyone bought the dl content? Is it worth it?

Ok been playing this all weekend and loving it now.
Once you get the handle on the controls its a great game.

Is it wrong to say that the female character is hot as hell?
Damn programmers got that spot on
