    Thats a strange looking "mini-van"!:D

On a serious note, despite how it looks, theres probably very little damage to the Lambo and next to nothing to the Sante Fe

Looking at one of the pics, it seems that the accelerator is on the left of the pedals. Am I seeing things?

...another link on that US news page crumbs, think we have it bad (drink driving) ??...

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I note that they are on the edge of a 30mph zone, but what speed would you have to be doing to achieve that?

no you not seeing things. Surely that pedal is not the accelerator?!!! May explain the crash (see attached for larger image)

...more on the pedals - from Car and Driver road test on the Murciélago.

"What you notice first about the Murciélago is that its left-front wheel intrudes some eight inches into prime footwell territory, skewing your feet to the right. Your left foot searches for a place to relax—under the clutch is about the only comfortable spot. What you notice next is the accelerator pedal juts out of a small black box, like a paddle raised in a canoe. Your heel rests on the front of this box, and you bend your toes forward to move the throttle. You can duplicate the sensation by walking around with a box of Tic Tacs in your shoe."

That's an expensive way of jacking up your car, each to their own...

minivan.... it's a santa fe - bloody americans!

This happened last week, it's a shame about this accident, It's a well known car in the states as it was owned by a Lambo dealer for a few years but the current owner said it was unavoidable and the car is repairable too, worse than it looks which is good. A pillars, bumper bars and suspension etc are OK.
